Though it's true this burdock root is not too pungent in flavor, it is still distinctly a root vegetable, with a brewed flavor profile akin to richly roasted turnips. That said, I will admit that it is growing on me, and is a unique herbal tea that vegetable fans and those with curious palates alike should try at least once.

The dry tea smells very spicy, which was surprising in and of itself. When steeped, the spicy scent remains for a bit, but then begins to fade. The liquor is like liquid sunlight and the tea has a smooth, almost creamy earthiness and just a hint of spice that mixes well with the sweetness. A surprisingly good cup of tea.

I find the tea surprisingly pleasant! It is a little bit sweetness naturally, so I don't even think about adding honey to it. This tea is healthy and the aroma is certainly unusual. It does grow on you!
