Organic Cherry Sencha Green Tea

Our Fair Trade Certified Cherry Sencha organic green tea pairs a blend of sencha-style green teas with the sweet-tart flavor of real cherries. The concentrated fruity aroma gives way to a subtly-tart cherry flavor that is in perfect balance with the green tea in the cup. Like all of our flavored blends, this organic loose tea uses only the highest quality teas, essential oils and botanical ingredients, insuring an excellent cup every time! The organic green tea used as a base for this tea is from the Dazhangshan Tea Garden in the Jiangxi Province of China, where it maintains the region’s 1,200-year reputation as the “golden triangle” of exceptional tea production.

Ingredients: organic and Fair Trade Certified Chinese and Indian green teas, organic rosehips, organic calendula petals, organic safflowers and natural cherry flavor

What are Flavored Teas?

Our delicious flavored teas use the same top-quality organic tea that we offer in our unflavored varieties, but are blended with pieces of real fruit, spices, flowers, and 100% natural flavors. When blending our teas, our goal is to create a cup that balances the taste of the tea with the flavors of the additional ingredients so that neither one overpowers. All of the natural flavors we use are either extracts taken directly from the botanical ingredient, or extracted using 100% GMO-free grain alcohol as a solvent. You can rest assured that none of the flavors used in our blends are synthetically or artificially derived, and do not use artificial preservatives.

Steeping Instructions

At Arbor Teas, we believe tea should be brewed to suit your personal taste. We’re happy to make recommendations to get you started, but don’t hesitate to experiment! When brewing your tea, your main considerations are tea quantity, water temperature, and steeping time. We recommend green and white teas to be steeped for 2 to 3 minutes in water heated to not-quite-boiling, just as bubbles begin to form on the bottom of the pan (approximately 170 to 180 degrees F). For the best flavor, use fresh water whenever possible. Try not to steep your tea longer than necessary, as you’ll extract undesirable bitterness from the leaves. If you want a stronger brew, don’t steep longer, just use more tea. And don’t forget to re-steep your tea leaves to get the most out of your leaf!

  • Perfect Everyday Tea

This delightfully tart green is my go to for about two years. Warm and hearty green flavor with a cherry lip smack mouth feel. I think that I have the brewing down to a science. Three brews at 180 or 175 degrees (depending on your kettle): 1 min 40 sec, 2 min 15 sec, 2 min 50 sec. So so good. You won’t regret trying it!

This very smooth green tea blend presents an awesome cherry forward smell and taste that is complemented nicely by the other ingredients. Great served hot or chilled.

  • A great balanced blend

It's a tad sweet for me, but the green tea flavor balances it out enough. It's a good everyday tea for the price.

  • Totally Worth It

To begin with, I really enjoyed seeing a beautiful mixture of ingredients when I opened the package up. you can smell the cherry and other ingredients without it being overpowering and it's great as hot or iced tea. When it's enjoyed as hot tea, you can taste more than just the cherry, it's hard to explain but there's a good balance of taste. When it's iced, I feel like the green tea taste comes out a bit more than the cherry. Either way, it's worth giving this tea a try.

  • Organic cherry sencha green

One of my favorites. I got my husband to start drinking tea and he keeps going to this one. Had to buy the bulk size this time. Love the cherry flavor, subtle but very good. I drink all of my tea plain so the flavor is important. I highly recommend.
