Organic Decaf Holiday Spice Black Tea

Our perennial decaf favorite for the holiday season, Decaf Holiday Spice Black Tea! This organic and Fair Trade Certified tea pairs decaf organic Indian tea with generous doses of orange, cinnamon and clove flavor. Like all of our flavored blends, our Decaf Holiday Spice Black Tea uses only the highest quality organic loose leaf tea, essential oils and botanical ingredients, ensuring an excellent cup every time. This tea is decaffeinated using a state-of-the art carbon dioxide (CO2) decaffeination process which does not involve the use of harmful chemicals, so the resulting product is simply a healthy cup of organic decaf tea with most of the caffeine removed (and no chemical overtones).

This tea, like our other two holiday teas (Organic Holiday Spice Black Tea and Organic Cranberry Spice Tisane), is only available during the holiday season, while supplies last.

Ingredients: organic and Fair Trade Certified decaf Indian black tea, organic orange peel, organic cinnamon, organic clove, and natural orange cinnamon spice flavor

What are Flavored Teas?

Our delicious flavored teas use the same top-quality organic tea that we offer in our unflavored varieties, but are blended with pieces of real fruit, spices, flowers, and 100% natural flavors. When blending our teas, our goal is to create a cup that balances the taste of the tea with the flavors of the additional ingredients so that neither one overpowers. All of the natural flavors we use are either extracts taken directly from the botanical ingredient, or extracted using 100% GMO-free grain alcohol as a solvent. You can rest assured that none of the flavors used in our blends are synthetically or artificially derived, and do not use artificial preservatives.

Steeping Instructions

At Arbor Teas, we believe tea should be brewed to suit your personal taste. We’re happy to make recommendations to get you started, but don’t hesitate to experiment! When brewing your tea, your main considerations are tea quantity, water temperature, and steeping time. We recommend black teas to be steeped for 3 to 5 minutes in water heated to a full, rolling boil. For the best flavor, use fresh water whenever possible, and avoid overboiling. Try not to steep your tea longer than necessary, as you’ll extract undesirable bitterness from the leaves. If you want a stronger brew, don’t steep longer, just use more tea. And don’t forget to re-steep your tea leaves to get the most out of your leaf!

"Thank goodness this has arrived! My kids love to sip on Holiday Spice in the winter months, but I had to limit their evening consumption. Not any more! Full mugs, means happy kids!"

  • One of my favorites

Posted by David Stall on 3rd Dec 2023

Growing up, Wagner Fruit and Spice tea was a staple in our house. At some point, Wagner stopped making that particular tea. I stumbled upon Arbor's Holiday Spice Tea at some point, and it is better than just a replacement. This is close to my favorite tea ever, and certainly the best fruit/spice tea on the market in my opinion. I always look forward to late fall when this tea becomes available. Being able to get a decaf version makes things even better.

  • nice spice tea

I tried the sample size of the regular and the decaf and liked it enough to order a full size of the decaf so that I could drink it any time of day without it keeping me up at night.

  • Way too floral

Posted by Unknown on 17th Dec 2016

This was part of my first order from Arbor Teas and I was disappointed. Unlike the other reviewer, I found this one way too potent. (Maybe they changed the recipe since then?). There's such a powerful floral note that it smells like perfume. When steeped, it retains a really strong perfume/soapy flavor. I will have to cut this one with a lot of cream to make it drinkable. Fortunately I have other teas in my order that I like.

  • Good but not one of my favorites.

Posted by Bonnie R. on 6th Jan 2015

I bought a lot of different samples and found quiet a few of teas that I'll reorder; this will not make the cut. Not sure exactly what was wrong with this one but seemed like it needed more spice, had good flavor but was weak by my standards. This may be really nice for someone else that prefers a decaf with a softer spice pallet. Personally I've been spoiled by the decaf Marsala Chai!! This is probably one of the best Chai teas I've EVER tried!! not just decaf! I have the regular and the decaf. The Decaf has been out for awhile & I'm anxiously waiting for it to come back in stock, when it does I plan to purchase several bags. The Decaf Spice was an attempt to find something similar, but it fell short. The Rooibos Marsala Chai was another hit, this was GREAT! to be a caffeine free option, it is FABULOUS!!

  • Great holiday blend

We have enjoyed this tea over the past month. Terrific holiday flavors with just the right mix of orange and cinnamon. Purchasing one more batch before it disappears!
