Light sweet flavor
When cold brewed with honey, this reminded me of a good sweet tea! Not bitter at all, so you get the sweet tea taste without adding in 2 cups of sugar.
Our unoxidized organic Green Rooibos yields a fresher, lighter infusion with less fruit and more herbal qualities than conventional, oxidized organic rooibos from Africa. It also makes a delicious iced tea. Like all rooibos, our Green Rooibos is loose leaf and contains no caffeine.
Ingredients: organic and Fair Trade Certified South African green rooibos
Rooibos only grows in the mountainous Cederberg region 400 miles north of Cape Town on the western edge of South Africa. The Cederberg Mountains are famous for their dramatic, wind-carved sandstone formations like the Maltese Cross and the Wolfberg Arch, well-preserved prehistoric rock paintings by the early San people, and the rare Clanwilliam Cedar trees from which the area takes its name. Arable land is limited by the altitude, dry climate, and rocky terrain of this area. Rooibos is the most famous export, though fruit, tobacco, honeybush, and grapes are also harvested on some farms. The Driefontein Small Farmers Co-op is located near Redelinghuys in the heart of rooibos country. The 36 members have been operating as a farming cooperative since 2010. Their success has hinged on their considerable knowledge of rooibos - handed down from one generation to the next - coupled with their deep love of the land they farm. Although the 110 hectare farm is currently owned by a private landowner and leased to Driefontein, they're currently saving up to purchase the land outright. The Driefontein Small Farmers Co-op has used their Fair Trade premiums to fund retirement benefits, housing improvements, education, and more. In fact, in 2011 Driefontein was able to send their community's first student to college using funds from their trust.
At Arbor Teas, we believe tea should be brewed to suit your personal taste. We’re happy to make recommendations to get you started, but don’t hesitate to experiment! When brewing your tea, your main considerations are tea quantity, water temperature, and steeping time. We recommend herbal and rooibos teas to be steeped for 5 to 7 minutes in water heated to a full rolling boil. For the best flavor, use fresh water whenever possible, and avoid overboiling. If you want a stronger brew, just use more tea. And don’t forget to re-steep your tea leaves to get the most out of your leaf!

"This reminds me of a cross between a light chamomile and green tea. It's light, herbaceous and a great mellow afternoon tea."
"An interesting change from our traditional rooibos. Slightly sharper, but still smooth. I think of green bark and fresh herbs. "
"Drinking a cup of Green Rooibos makes me think of a delicious slice of sunflower seed wheat bread (a really good one!) with a thin schmear of honey on top."

I wanted to try this tea after reading the potential health benefits but i worried it would taste bad. There is no bitterness at all and i really enjoy its flavor
After trying green rooibos once elsewhere, I ordered Arbor Teas’s largest bag of green rooibos. I finished the bag after just two months. I brew it in pitchers and drink it cold, and let me tell you - I drink this more than I drink water. It’s got such a refreshing, light, floral taste that’s subtle but sweet. I love that it retains more antioxidants than the more heavily processed “red” rooibos, as well. Sometimes I’ll use it in place of water in smoothies with is great, too! Highly, highly recommend to anyone who’s curious.

I was thrilled to discover Green Rooibos because it tastes like a nice mild, regular green tea to me, and it has absolutely NO caffeine. This has become important to me as I get more sensitive to caffeine disturbing my sleep. Now I can actually add any amount of "real" green tea to my green Rooibos for whatever level of caffeine I'm interested in. The best of both worlds!
I started out with just a sample of this, having never heard of unoxidized green roiboos. Turns out its great, so I bought a bigger bag! It comes across a little sweeter and fresher than the red, and makes a great cup, both hot and iced.
I'm in love with this tea! Steeped with fresh picked mint this morning; absolutely delicious.
Having tried green rooibos from several companies, this is my favorite! It has a rich flavor without being "grassy." I love adding a bit to some of my other teas to get that extra antioxidant boost!
I tried the green rooibos after falling in love with the red rooibos. The green is just as delicious! It has a mellower flavor than the red which makes it perfect for relaxing after a long day. It makes a great iced tea as well.
Recently ordered several different herbal / rooibos teas from Arbor Teas. This one is just so good! I am on a highly restricted, doctor-prescribed diet. This green rooibos produces such an inviting, soothing cup; and as I enjoy, I do so knowing that each sip is beneficial to my health and well-being. Thank you Arbor Teas for offering this exceptional rooibos!!!
The green rooibos has a really delicious vegetal quality to it that I like quite a bit.
This is a gem if you are into Rooibos or indeed wish to start indulging in this tisane. Subtle and hearty. Good for anytime of the day and especially for those who would like to reduce caffeine intake but not go on the "fruity" loop.
Had my first cup of the green rooibos tea last night...it was so tasty and relaxing that I drank a second cup. I especially like the fact that it is caffeine free. I do have one concern though, does it produce or contain estrogen?
I've purchases green rooibos from multiple sources and this is definitely among the best- it's quite simply delicious. I prefer green bush rooibos over the more typical red bush variety because the green has more antioxidants. And, can't ignore the fact that it tastes wonderful. It's sweet and refreshing and never gets bitter if you steep it too long. Definitely give it a try because it's a nice way to deviate from the usual green/black/white tea rotation without compromising taste or health.
Caffeinated herb that has earthy, vegetal quality with an almost minty note and slightly smoky flavor
