Lovely tea!
I have been preparing myself a cup of this tea weekly for the last few months. Smooth and mildly sweet - I'm no fan of strong teas so this one is perfect for me!
This Fair Trade Certified organic loose leaf herbal tea from Africa combines organic rooibos (pronounced ROY-bus) with sultry vanilla and rich nutty almond flavors to make a dessert in a cup! We added organic banana pieces to enhance the sweet, honey-like qualities of the rooibos. Rooibos is an herb native to the beautiful Cederberg region of South Africa and contains no caffeine.

Our delicious flavored teas use the same top-quality organic tea that we offer in our unflavored varieties, but are blended with pieces of real fruit, spices, flowers, and 100% natural flavors. When blending our teas, our goal is to create a cup that balances the taste of the tea with the flavors of the additional ingredients so that neither one overpowers. All of the natural flavors we use are either extracts taken directly from the botanical ingredient, or extracted using 100% GMO-free grain alcohol as a solvent. You can rest assured that none of the flavors used in our blends are synthetically or artificially derived, and do not use artificial preservatives.
At Arbor Teas, we believe tea should be brewed to suit your personal taste. We’re happy to make recommendations to get you started, but don’t hesitate to experiment! When brewing your tea, your main considerations are tea quantity, water temperature, and steeping time. We recommend herbal and rooibos teas to be steeped for 5 to 7 minutes in water heated to a full rolling boil. For the best flavor, use fresh water whenever possible, and avoid overboiling. If you want a stronger brew, just use more tea. And don’t forget to re-steep your tea leaves to get the most out of your leaf!

Outside of generic green tea or Earl gray I have not tried many teas. I recently tried a few samples here and I have to say that I am super happy with this one. It is very fragrant and lovely to drink. It is a mild and sweet flavor that has a vanilla / chocolate aroma to it. The nutty and banana flavor comes in as you drink it. I will be buying more!
I have never had Rooibos tea, so I decided to try the sampler.....the Vanilla Almond is so yummy! I added nothing to it and it is the best tea! I will be ordering a full size of this on for sure!
This is one of the most delicious teas I have ever tasted. Very smooth and lightly sweet. Perfect blend of flavors.
I like rooibos, but plain rooibos has a flavor which is almost too subtle, and I can't shake the feeling that it needs something more. I tried the Earl Grey rooibos, but the bergamot flavoring overwhelmed the rooibos flavor. On the other hand, vanilla and almond are a perfect complement to rooibos; the whole is much more than the sum of the parts. This is an ideal tea for drinking in the evening (when you can't handle any more caffeine).
